If your team uses Claude for daily work, there’s good news. Claude Design now shares its usage with Claude Cowork. Design and automate in the same place, without two separate limits running out on you.
What Is Claude Design?
Claude Design lets you create visual work just by chatting. Describe what you need: a slide deck, a landing page, a product mockup. Claude builds a first version. Refine it through chat, by leaving comments, or by editing directly on the canvas. No design experience needed.
What Changed on June 17
Anthropic rolled out a major update:
- Import your brand’s components from GitHub, design files, or simple uploads
- Drag, resize, and align elements directly on the canvas
- Move designs into Claude Code so prototypes become real, working software
- Export to PDF, PowerPoint, or push to Canva, Adobe, Miro, or Vercel
- Team admins can lock a design system so everyone stays on-brand
One Shared Limit With Cowork
Claude Design used to burn its own separate weekly allowance. Some users hit 80% of their Claude Pro limit in 25 minutes. That’s fixed. Design is now folded into the same pool as chat, Claude Code, and Cowork. No extra limit to watch. Each turn also uses fewer tokens, so your usage stretches further.
For teams, this means you can design a flyer or one-pager, then hand off file organization, copy, or follow-up automation to Cowork. All in one workflow.

Claude Design is in beta for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans. Access it at claude.ai/design or from the Claude Desktop sidebar. Enterprise plans need to enable it in admin settings first.
